Events and the calendar
How to create an event, connect your iPhone calendar, and fix a person matched to the wrong meeting.
The Events tab shows who you’re about to see and who you just saw: the next event with what to bring up, events you haven’t written about yet, what’s coming up, and past events with their memories.
How do I create an event?
- In the Events tab, tap New event.
- Add a title, the date and time, a place, and who’s coming.
- Add a Bring list if there’s something to take with you.
- Choose the switches you want: Prepare me the day before, Ask how it went afterwards, and Add to iPhone calendar.
Times work like in Calendar: a new event starts at the next whole hour and lasts an hour, and moving the start moves the end with it. An event can have nobody coming; it just won’t get any prompts.
What does Wajed do before and after an event?
- Before: the event page lists what to bring up with each person, the last time you were all together, and your Bring list. With Prepare me the day before on, Wajed reminds you the evening before, or an hour before for meetings from your calendar.
- After: Today and the Events tab ask How was it? so you can write down what you learned, or choose that there’s nothing to note. With Ask how it went afterwards on, you also get one notification about 45 minutes after it ends.
How do I connect my iPhone calendar?
Go to Settings → Calendar and tap Connect calendar, or tap Connect in the Events tab. Meetings with people you know then show up in Events, with what to bring up.
Your calendar is read on your iPhone and never sent anywhere. Wajed looks about 30 days ahead.
Wajed matched the wrong person to a meeting. How do I fix it?
Wajed matches the people in a calendar meeting by email, then phone number, then name. When a name match is wrong:
- Open the event.
- Open the menu and tap Edit people and Bring.
- Remove the wrong person.
Wajed remembers this, so the next calendar sync won’t add them back.
Why can’t I delete a calendar event in Wajed?
Because it belongs to your calendar, and the next sync would bring it back. Delete it in the Calendar app, or tap Don’t ask how it went to stop the prompts. Events you made in Wajed can be deleted from their menu with Delete event. Memories written about a deleted event stay.
How do I turn the calendar off?
Go to Settings → Calendar and tap Turn off in Settings, then turn off Calendars for Wajed in iPhone Settings. Events you created in Wajed keep working.
