People and rhythms
How to add and organise people, set how often you want to talk, and what deleting someone removes.
The People tab lists everyone in your journal. Waiting on you at the top shows who has a reason today. Below it is everyone from A to Z, with how long it’s been since you talked.
What is a rhythm?
How often you want to talk to someone: Weekly, Monthly, Seasonal, or Never. When it’s been longer than that, they show up on Today in blue with something to talk about.
A new rhythm starts halfway through, so the people you add at the same time come up spread out, not all on one day.
How do I set or change someone’s rhythm?
Open their profile and tap Edit (or Set how often if they don’t have one yet), then choose a rhythm. You can also set rhythms during setup, or from the suggestion on a quiet Today.
How do I tell Wajed we talked?
Writing a memory and saying you talked counts. So does starting a call or message from their brief. If you talked some other way, tap We talked today on their profile. Tap it again the same day to undo. It appears once they have a rhythm.
What does a profile show?
Their photo or initials, name and how to say it, quick facts (last talked, rhythm, next event, occasions), open follow-ups, then every memory about them. You can filter the memories to photos or follow-ups. Details holds their bio, groups, occasions and the people they’re close to.
How do I group people?
Go to Settings → Groups to create, rename and remove groups. To put someone in a group, open their profile, tap Edit, and use Their people and groups. Search and the People tab can filter by group.
How do I stop notifications about one person?
Open their profile and tap the bell at the top. They still appear on Today, but Wajed won’t send notifications about them. Tap the bell again to turn them back on.
What happens when I delete someone?
- Open their profile and tap Edit.
- Scroll down, tap Delete followed by their name, and confirm.
Memories that were only about them are deleted. Memories shared with other people stay, without them. This can’t be undone, so check your iCloud Backup first if you’re unsure.
