Today and its reasons

Why someone shows up on Today, what the four colours mean, and what to do when Today is quiet.

Today is the first tab. It answers one question: who should you reach out to today, and why?

Why does someone show up on Today?

There are four reasons, and each has its own colour, everywhere in Wajed:

ReasonColourComes from
Follow-upCoralSomething they told you that you wanted to ask about later
ReconnectBlueIt’s been longer than the rhythm you chose for them
OccasionYellowAn anniversary or another date that matters to them, on the day
EventGreenSomething you’re doing together, made in Wajed or read from your calendar

A person with several reasons appears once, with the strongest reason first. A follow-up comes before a reconnect.

What happens when I tap someone?

You see their brief: why now, what to bring up (open follow-ups, what they told you last, upcoming occasions), when you last talked, and buttons to Call, Message, WhatsApp or FaceTime them.

Starting a call or message counts as talking. Later that day, Today asks How did it go? so you can write down what you learned.

What is “This week”?

Events and occasions in the next few days. An occasion becomes a card on Today only on the day itself. One to three days before, it waits in This week.

Today says there’s nothing to do. Is something wrong?

No. When nobody is due, Today shows a recap of your week and what’s coming up, instead of inventing tasks. While you’re still setting up, it shows a few short steps instead: add people, write your first memory, and choose how often to talk to each person.

Why does Today ask “Anything to remember?”

After an event with people you know, Today asks once whether there’s something worth writing down. Tap it to write a memory, or choose that there’s nothing to note.
