Troubleshooting
Fixes for missing notifications, blank widgets, calendar meetings that don't show, and other common problems.
I don’t get notifications
Check these in order:
- In Wajed: Settings → Notifications is on. If the row says Not allowed in iPhone Settings, tap Open Settings and turn on Allow Notifications.
- The person: open their profile. A crossed-out bell at the top means they’re muted; tap it to unmute.
- Focus: a Focus mode such as Sleep or Work can hold notifications back. Check Control Center, or allow Wajed in that Focus in iPhone Settings → Focus.
- Quiet hours: between 21:30 and 08:00, Wajed doesn’t send notifications whose time it chooses.
- Nothing to say: Wajed only sends a notification when something is due. If nobody has a rhythm and there are no follow-ups or events, there’s nothing to send. See Notifications.
My widget is blank or out of date
- Open Wajed once; widgets refresh when the app runs.
- If it still looks wrong, remove the widget and add it again.
- Restart your iPhone.
A widget that says Open Wajed to finish setting up is working: finish setup in the app and it fills in.
My calendar meetings don’t show in Events
- Go to Settings → Calendar and check that it says Connected. If it says No access, tap Open Settings and allow full access to Calendars for Wajed.
- Wajed shows meetings with people you know. Make sure the people coming are in Wajed, ideally with the same email or phone number as in the invitation.
- Wajed looks about 30 days ahead, so meetings further away appear later.
A person matched to the wrong meeting? See Events and the calendar.
Dictation doesn’t work
Turn on Speech Recognition and Microphone for Wajed in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security. If it still says dictation isn’t available, check that Dictation is on in iPhone Settings → General → Keyboard.
Wajed Pro isn’t showing on my new iPhone
Make sure you’re signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with, then go to Settings and tap Restore on the Wajed Pro card. See Wajed Pro.
Restore didn’t offer my backup
Check that this iPhone is signed in to the same Apple Account as your old one and is online, then go to Settings → iCloud Backup. Backups from every iPhone on that account are listed under Backups. A backup made with a newer version of Wajed asks you to update first. See iCloud Backup.
Still stuck?
In Wajed, go to Settings → Send Feedback. It opens an email with your app version filled in. Tell us what you tapped and what happened.
